Tauranga beach

This is the beach at Tauranga, which lies to the east of Hamilton. The sand here is white and not black like the west coast beaches.

Iwo Jima has black sand on one side of the island and normal colored sand on the other. I was there and the black sand is almost impossible to walk in.

Your photograph is very nice to see.

Hilda, these waves are nothing compared to the waves on a windy day!

Yes, I do swim here. I prefer the east coast beaches to the ones on the west coast. Can't stand the black sand.
