August Theme Day: Metal

This atom ball is located outside the entrance to one of the buildings on the Waikato University campus. It is a permanent fixture. The photo below gives a better indication of its real size. I love the reflection. On sunny days, the rays of sun bouncing off it make a magnificent spectacle.

It really invites you to stop an gaze for a while. I wonder how many students have been made late by that.

Fabulous photograph. Just great.

It made me think I could have photographed a 'boule' - very French and would have been apt. too late now.

Clean design and I bet it draws attention in the sunlight!

What a great set of photos! I'll bet little kids enjoy this, too. Nothing better than a wonky reflection to captivate and occupy some time.

Happy Theme Day!

I'm try to image the sun ray reflecting and bouncing in surround. It must be a really grate scene especially if that is morning/evening light. You know, the orange ones...
Fantastic!

I haven't seen that. Another object to look out for at the University. I liked your previous photo too of Anglesea/Hood Street intersection. - Dave
